BAAPS Annual Scientific Meeting Olympia, London 5th – 6th October
Mr Riaz attended the scientific conference once again, this year. The focus of the meeting was rhinoplasty (surgery to the nose) and breast surgery, both cosmetic and therapeutic

OPSA Mission (Gujrat) - Spring 2017
Mr Riaz and the UK team have just returned from another successful free surgery cleft camp at the purpose-built Cleft Hospital in Gujrat Pakistan.
"Are we being punished by God because we’d been too proud to have two sons".
Both girls were born with cleft lips and palates, caused when the roof of the mouth and the lips fail to fuse together properly in the womb, causing disfigurement, speech problems and often malnutrition because children with the condition struggle to feed properly.

A young man has helped 10 children with cleft lip and palates undergo treatment in Pakistan after his face was transformed by a Hull surgeon. Jack Smith, 21, underwent five operations on the NHS after he was born with a cleft lip and palate.

During a recent trip to Multan, Pakistan (December 2016) Mr Riaz, on behalf of OPSA of which he is a trustee, was delighted to be able to hand over a Doppler Machine to the Burns Unit in Multan, Pakistan.

During his trip to Multan, Pakistan in December 2016, Mr Riaz was honoured to be invited to open the newly established Seminar/Conference Room and Medical Library at the Burns & Plastic Surgery Unit situated at the Nishtar Medical College and Hospital in Multan.

On Wednesday 18th January Mr Riaz travelled to Atlanta, Georgia, USA to attend the SESPRS Annual Conference (Southeastern Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons).
